Flood: your assistance required

URGENT MESSAGE: ALL MEMBERS,

As you would be aware, the heavy rains from Cyclone Debbie has caused significant flooding in Murwillumbah.  The MAC Clubhouse and Hanger have been affected.  The extent of the damage is not fully known at this stage.  There is certainly a lot of debris around.

We are calling on all members to assist tomorrow (Sunday 2nd) with the cleanup.

Bring anything you can imagine would be of use.  Trailers, bags, shovels and pitchforks will assist with clearing.  As well as things to help clean inside the clubhouse.  Bring suitable and protective clothing as you don’t know what you’ll come across.

Members will be on site from early in the morning.

MAC Comp Results 05 Feb

The First Flying Comp of the year was a success with 6 entrants.
The sky was clear, light 8 kts northerly breeze and late 20’s in temperature.
Fortunately the BBQ food was almost completely demolished by the hungry workers.
Thank You to the members who turned up to lend a hand at the working bee which resulted in, amongst other jobs done, a full trailer load of cuttings and greenery, which was kindly taken by Peter for mulching at his property.

Scores for the day are:
Paul Starr 95 points 1st
Peter Sochacki 85 points 2nd
Chris Bigg 80 points eq 3rd
Neville Newell 80 points eq 3rd
