Murwillumbah Aero Club is open to all!

For generations, Murwillumbah Aero Club has been at the heart of aviation in the Northern Rivers, bringing together pilots, aviation enthusiasts and the local community through a shared passion for flight.

Based at the historic Bob Whittle Airfield (YMUR), our club is surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of the Tweed Valley, where the mountains, coastline and open countryside provide a truly unique setting for aviation.

Named in honour of local World War II Spitfire pilot Bob Whittle, the airfield reflects the region’s longstanding connection to aviation and the pioneering individuals who helped shape it.

Today, Murwillumbah Aero Club continues that legacy, combining the traditions of recreational flying and community spirit with a renewed focus on flight training, pilot development and the future of general aviation.
